Hurricane Dorian hits Charleston Harbor with wind gusts of close to 80 mph and tornadoes. North Carolina is said to expect more and more rains, with predictive street flooding from nearby rivers. Governor Roy declared state of emergency and has opened more than 50 shelters and with more than 20 swift water rescue team and aircraft ready. Police chief, Daniel House urged several residents to quickly evacuate the area, and charged class two misdemeanors for failure to respond to evacuation order.  Global climate change is very complex with great implication to the society. Nurses are usually the first responder to natural disasters; healthcare organizations have the need to consider disaster preparedness paramount.
